Cooperatives that are made up of the members of the community, which are backing the platform are also allowed to do so, although this would depend on the laws of that particular area.

When talking about community radio, the benefits are obviously access to information and delivery of details that come with no particular agenda. If it’s about giving people the kinds of news reports that they need without the usual filters that commercial or public broadcast networks come with, community radio is simply the best option.
Giving people all sides of certain stories also helps in allowing listeners to form their own opinions about said stories. This helps reduce the possibility of keeping communities in certain bubbles, which could make them deaf to details that could contract certain preconceptions.
